The Douglasville Police Department is under the leadership of Chief Gary Sparks.
Chief Sparks is a proponent of continuing education in law enforcement. The Police Department continually strives to anticipate crime trends and tries to develop solutions to future problems.
In order to cultivate an environment of sound communication and rapid response to crime trends, Chief Sparks has a briefing and problem solving meeting with the entire command staff three times weekly.
